I had this interesting ringed plover this evening at Marston. It was in the middle of a bare field. Why did I think it interesting?, well the rear supercilium was hardly noticeable in this bird, it is normally very white and bold. The bird maybe of the tundrae form, I’m not sure. I even considered semi-palmated plover, but pretty sure it’s not that!
Any body with more experience, please get in touch if you have any thoughts. I got one or two poor photos, as the light was fading.
Ringed plover is quite a good bird for Marston anyway, we usually only get little ringed.
