quack quack

P1090435This pochard was at Marston the other day, they are unusual here, less than annual. Scant compensation for the lack of waders at the moment, due to the water levels being too high.
The first wigeon of the season, along with 25+ teal, a shoveler, tufty, mallards, and gadwalls are around.
Of note were a little grebe, a dozen yellow wags, 3 green sands, 7 curlews, lesser whitethroat and a flock of c150 linnets at the works end. P1090436P1090217typical English countryside scene ? well it is now!
