Kilvington lakes

Well I didn’t expect to see whoopers as we head into summer, but that’s what were at Kilvington Lakes this afternoon, with 22 mutes. The two immatures were obviously siblings with almost identical bill patterns and stage of plumage.

A drake red-crested pochard was on the North lake, it’s head ‘glowing’ just as the text books sometimes say.

Wrens have nested in the sightings board.

A few yellow wagtails showed well.
