Getting towards the end of the big tides. This morning there were loads of birds at the peak of the tide, the saltmarsh was completely covered.

Oystercatchers in abundance. 2-3 thou.
2 bonxies (gt. skuas), north.
7 gannets, juveniles in one group, north.
Little terns, maybe 25, don’t know if I was counting some of the same ones twice.
Sandwich terns, about 20.
c.60 little egrets at roost.
2 turtle doves and a lesser whitethroat at Cut End car park.
2 whinchats and 3 wheatears along the wetland trail at Freiston.
